Named scholarships & funds
When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, ÐÓ°®°É is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at ÐÓ°®°É, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Banks, Kenneth E. and June Blackburn, Phi Sigma Kappa Scholarship
Established in 1991, The Kenneth E. and June Blackburn Banks, Phi Sigma Kappa Scholarship is designed to support and to challenge members of ÐÓ°®°É’s chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa. As an active and concerned member of the fraternity, Kenneth Banks has made this scholarship support for undergraduates available to Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity members based on academic achievement and financial need. Recipients will be selected by the University Scholarship Committee on the basis of established criteria for scholarship and need. The annual award is to be used to meet the full expense of tuition, books, and fees for each recipient. The number of recipients will be determined by the amount available for award each year. Renewed support is possible if the recipient continues to meet the established award criteria.
