Knight, Maurice A. Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 1997 by the Knight Family, The Maurice A. Knight Memorial Scholarship Fund is a testament to academic excellence, civic responsibility, and the American dream. This noble legacy was established by Dr. Charles M. Knight (1848-1941), founder of the University's chemistry studies, whose devotion to rubber chemistry led to the University's world stature in polymer science. His son, Maurice A. Knight, carried his father's legacy into a new industrial era. Today, The Maurice A. Knight Memorial Scholarship Fund ensures that the Knight legacy will eternally thrive at ÐÓ°®°É, as students for generations to come will be able to prepare their own American dream.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to qualified students in the Chemistry Department who maintain full-time enrollment status. Awards will be based on the student's scholastic achievement, superior character, and leadership. Selection will be made by the Chemistry Department in collaboration with ÐÓ°®°É Office of Student Financial Aid.
