Italian-American Professional and Businessmen’s Club Scholarship for Music in Memory of Dominic J. Guzzetta
The Italian-American Professional and Businessmen’s Club Scholarship for Music in Memory of Dominic J. Guzzetta was established in 1987 as The Italian-American Professional and Businessmen’s Club Award. The name was changed in 2010 after the death of Dominic J. Guzzetta, longtime club member and strong supporter of the arts. This annual award benefits a student of Italian descent who is majoring in one of the fine arts. The recipient will be determined by the dean of the College of Creative and Professional Arts, with preference given to a graduate student. It is available for two years in succession. If a graduate student of Italian descent is not identified for the award, another undergraduate may be the recipient.
The Italian-American Professional and Businessmen’s Club Scholarship for Music in Memory of Dominic J. Guzzetta previously was known as The Italian-American Professionals and Businessmen’s Club Award. To be considered for the award, candidates must have a minimum 3.2 graduate or undergraduate GPA, a special commitment to completing his/her fine arts program, demonstrated financial need, and traceable Italian ancestry.
This scholarship will provide an annual award to benefit one student of Italian descent who is majoring in one of the fine arts. This scholarship award may not be received or issued in the form of a refund check; award dollars are to pay for tuition and/or fees and posted to the student’s University account.
